A guide to your next move.
Welcome to Relaxed Spider
Here are the details for this mode. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Relaxed Spider on ahthdj.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs.
The relaxed difference
A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves.
Read the opening
A few details help explain this feature. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five.
Descending rank placement
Keep these points in mind. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card.
Follow one suit
Keep these points in mind. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Keep space available
The following details apply here. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds.
Bring in another row
The following details apply here. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available.
Collect matching runs
Keep these points in mind. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.
Try another decision
The following details apply here. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt.
Resume locally
A few details help explain this feature. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you turn saving off or clear local records. Each relaxed suit setting has its own current local game. Relaxed Spider keeps its saved games separate from standard Spider when saving is enabled. My Statistics displays relaxed starts and wins in separate rows.
